Language exchanges
A language exchange is an informal way to practise or improve the languages that you already know or that you are learning. In a language exchange, two people who speak different languages practise the other person’s language during a series of previously agreed meetings. The main purpose is to practise speaking skills in a real context, and it complements the formal learning of a language.
Catalan universities have many language and cultural exchange programmes: tandems, language volunteers, banks of language pairs and conversation groups, among others.
Here you’ll find information on these university programmes, as well as a Language exchange handbook, which provides ideas, guidelines, and proposals to manage exchange meetings and get the most out of them.
